The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) convened the first meeting of its Election Manifesto Committee today, delving into discussions centered around the party’s vision for a ‘Developed India’ and its corresponding blueprint. The gathering, attended by eight Union Ministers and three Chief Ministers alongside other party leaders, aimed to outline key promises for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Led by Defense Minister and former BJP President Rajnath Singh, the meeting provided a platform for fruitful exchanges on policy priorities and electoral strategies. Union Minister Piyush Goyal, addressing reporters post-meeting, revealed that the party had received an overwhelming response, with over 3.75 lakh suggestions garnered through its missed call service, while approximately 1.70 lakh suggestions were received via Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s app ‘Namo’.
The robust engagement with party members and citizens underscores BJP’s commitment to incorporating diverse perspectives in shaping its election manifesto. As discussions progress, the BJP aims to articulate a comprehensive vision that resonates with the aspirations of the Indian populace, focusing on sustainable development, economic growth, and inclusive governance. With the manifesto taking shape, anticipation builds for the unveiling of BJP’s electoral promises in the imminent Lok Sabha elections.
