According to the information received, the District Election Officer has issued a total of more than 5 notices to the major political parties of Ludhiana in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. These notices were sent in violation of the Election Commission’s orders.
According to the information received, these notices were sent for violating the unauthorized banners and posters, which is a violation of the Election Commission guidelines. These include several parties to whom notices were issued.
Election officials urged strict adherence to the election code, stressing a ban on unauthorized campaign materials, rallies and corner meetings. Failure to comply may result in further disciplinary action.
Political parties have been given 25 hours to respond to the notices or face the consequences. The notices directed to district party presidents show the Election Commission’s commitment to maintain a fair and transparent electoral process in Ludhiana.
