In a disturbing incident near Jalandhar Bypass Chowk in Ludhiana, a bus conductor fell victim to a violent assault, revealing a shocking case of lawlessness. The victim, identified as Jagdish, reported an altercation with a passenger who objected to the bus moving before he could alight. Allegedly, the dispute escalated when the passenger, accompanied by 30-40 individuals, attacked Jagdish, causing severe injuries.
The conductor narrated that the confrontation began when the passenger, wanting to accommodate a female traveler, demanded an unscheduled stop. Upon refusal, the situation escalated, leading to the violent outburst. The assailants not only physically assaulted Jagdish but also vandalized the bus, throwing down the ticket machine and looting the cash.
Eyewitnesses at the scene reported the chaos, prompting the assailants to flee. Currently, discussions are underway about filing a formal complaint with the Salem Tabari police station. This incident raises concerns about passenger safety and highlights the need for swift action to ensure the security of public transportation personnel. Authorities are urged to investigate and address the issue promptly.
