In response to the ongoing Kisan Andolan, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken decisive steps by establishing the State Election Management Committee. This crucial committee, led by state president Sunil Jakhar, is geared towards addressing the concerns raised by the agrarian protests. Comprising 38 committees, the initiative includes the appointment of Jai Inder Kaur, daughter of former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, as the head of the women’s campaign committee.
This move signals BJP’s proactive approach and commitment to navigating the political landscape amidst the agricultural challenges. The strategic committee aims to engage in comprehensive election management strategies, underscoring the party’s dedication to addressing the multifaceted issues affecting the region.
