In a strategic move ahead of the fourth-round meeting with Union Ministers, farmers’ leaders, including Balbir Singh Rajewal and Joginder Singh Ugrahan, gathered with 37 organizations in Ludhiana. During the meeting, a three-day plan from the 20th to the 22nd was formulated.
Balbir Singh Rajewal made a significant announcement, declaring toll plazas in Punjab free during the specified days. Furthermore, massive protests are slated outside the residences of prominent BJP leaders on the 20th, 21st, and 22nd, accompanied by a caravan. Notably, trains will continue without interruption due to the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji.
Rajewal emphasized that if the government fails to meet their demands, a train stop movement will commence after the three-day period. Permanent sit-ins outside Deputy Commissioners’ offices, aligned with district committees, are also planned until demands are met. The farmers’ leaders will convene on the 21st to advocate extending the program nationwide, vowing to sustain the struggle until their grievances are addressed. In a gesture of goodwill, they heed an appeal from Dera Balla saints, ensuring that trains won’t be halted on the occasion of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji’s Prakash Purab.
