In a show of solidarity, at the toll plaza near Mullanpur/Chowkiman near Ludhiana by farmers from nearby villages after their efforts to go to Delhi for their demands at the Shambhu and Khanuri border have been met. This dharna was also given as a protest against the torture that has been inflicted on them. The farmers strongly condemned this torture and demanded immediate government intervention.
Apart from this, the farmers stressed the need for the government to ensure minimum support price (MSP) and resolve their outstanding demands immediately.
On this occasion, I got a chance to talk with many people there including Gurdayal Singh ji, Master Jaswant Singh ji, Buta Singh ji, Gurmail Singh ji, Tajinder Singh ji, Amrik Singh ji , Daljit Singh ji, and various personalities including NS Sodhi ji, member of Kudarat Manav Lok Lehar, expressed their concerns. In addition, the demonstration highlighted its commitment by providing essential services such as langar and water. He extended the collective call for agricultural reforms and fair treatment of farmers.
