Incumbent Member of Parliament, Dimple Yadav, has been nominated to contest from the Mainpuri parliamentary constituency, signaling a strategic move by the party. Meanwhile, Shafiqur Rehman Barak, a seasoned SP MP, is set to vie for victory from the Sambhal constituency.
In a notable decision, Ravidas Mehrotra, the current MLA from Lucknow Central, has been selected as the party’s candidate for the prestigious Lucknow Lok Sabha seat. This move underscores the party’s emphasis on experienced leaders to represent their interests at the national level.
However, the list brings about a change in dynamics as Lalji Verma, a prominent SP MLA, has been omitted from the candidate roster for the Ambedkarnagar parliamentary constituency.
