Meanwhile, heavy jams were also seen on the roads. A lot of resentment was seen among the people due to not getting petrol and diesel to the people. Apart from this, when we talked to some people, they said that they have been standing since around nine o’clock, but they have not received petrol yet. Apart from this, there was a significant reduction in the number of auto rickshaw drivers on the roads today.
Apart from this, many people also had a minor dispute with the petrol pump attendants. In many places, the motorists have also resorted to abusive language. Even the petrol dealers have raised their hands after seeing the rush of motorists. Apart from this, the Commissioner of Police also called a meeting of the Petroleum Dealers Association to deal with the situation. Not only this, its impact was also seen on the government bus service in Punjab. Apart from this, supply of essential goods and school bus service were affected. Let us tell you that in the new hit and run law, provision has been made for 10 years imprisonment and 7 lakh fine for those who escape without informing the police or administrative authority after the accident. Not only this, in many petrol pumps in Chandigarh, petrol of 200 and 500 is being used in two-wheelers and four-wheelers.
