The results of the first edition of JEE Main 2025 were announced today by the National Testing Agency (NTA), with 14 students scoring a perfect 100 percentile. Out of these top scorers, five students are from Rajasthan, making it the state with the highest number of toppers.
More than 12.58 lakh candidates appeared for the highly competitive exam, which is a gateway to India’s top engineering institutes. Among the 14 toppers, 12 belong to the general category, while one each is from the OBC and SC categories.
Apart from Rajasthan, two toppers each are from Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, while Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Telangana, and Maharashtra have one topper each.
The JEE Main exam was conducted in 13 languages . To facilitate students outside India, the exam was also held in 15 international cities, including Dubai, Doha, Kathmandu, Singapore, and Washington.
The first phase of the exam took place in January and February, while the second phase will be held in April. Candidates who qualify in JEE Main will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced exam, which is the final step for admission into 23 prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
JEE Main is one of the toughest engineering entrance exams in India, and scoring a perfect 100 percentile is a remarkable achievement. As students prepare for the second phase and JEE Advanced, competition is expected to be intense.
With Rajasthan leading in toppers, the state continues to be a stronghold for engineering aspirants. The success of these students reflects their hard work and dedication, as well as the quality of coaching and education available in different states.
